FIRST GENERATION FARMERS
So, yeah…until a few years ago, we’d never touched a cow, chicken or pig. We’re like so many other farm stories, a couple who had enough of the rat race and wanted a simpler life.
Perhaps we should have just joined a CSA or bought food from a local farmers market. That would have solved our need to connect with the origin of our food, but we wanted more. We wanted to be a change agent, for the land, for the animals and for the consumers who, like use, were tired of not knowing where their food came from.
So we dove in, head first, and started on our farming journey. Now, 10 years later, we know it was the right decision for us and so many others. We also know that it’s not something that most of you can do yourselves, so we’re thrilled to be here as your farmer, while you’re there as our doctor, lawyer, teacher, fireman or whatever profession you’re drawn to.
It’ll only take you a moment to check out our site to see what we’re all about. But first, why not sign-up for our newsletter? We’ll send you occasional updates, pictures and recipes from the farm, so you can share in this journey with us.
ON A MISSION
To foster a local food culture centered on nutrient-dense food from heritage-breed animals that express their genetic instincts in natural settings. In short, we aim to reconnect animals with the land, and people with their food.
